Book Release Celebration!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to all of you who attended!!!! And thank you to all who sent good wishes!!!!

Our book launch was a huge success!  Famiy and friends made it one of the most delightful occasions I can remember! It was such a delight to have such a mix of loved ones and dear friends all together in the same room.  "It's like a wedding!" - one of my friends exclaimed!  In a way, it was!  Family, friends from junior high and high school, one of my favorite Brownie Girl Scouts with her parents and now grown children, friends from previous jobs and volunteer positions and even the two students who traveled with me to Do the Write Thing in DC joined me!  What a joyous mix!!! And G - thank you SO MUCH for covering for M so she could attend!  I know you are short staffed with vacation schedules and I GREATLY appreciate that you approved her time off!  What a fabulous surprise!

The event was sponsored by United Concordia, the Hershey Company and ABC -TV and about 250 people attended the two events - private and public.  What an honor to have such fabulous sponsors!!!! A chef from Philly, who just happened to be the author's brother-in-law, created works of art for the occasion - the watermelon crocodile was a vision - and I'll bet it was delicious but I just couldn't bring myself to alter it - I left that to the crowd.  Energy was high and the children who attended undoubtedly enjoyed hearing Floyd Superreader Stokes read the book!
